Hellgate: London Source Code Believed Stolen
Oh, what a feeling... aliens on the ceiling... The word around the web is that the source code for the upcoming action/RPG Hellgate: London (see preview) was stolen. Allegedly hackers broke into the Flagship Studios network and downloaded the source code for the game and -- apparently -- are trying to sell it online. So far we've seen more rumors online than fact, so stick around GameSpy.com for followups.
If the source code was stolen, it's a blow to the development team (who had pioneered some very innovative technology) but not something that will likely harm the final product. There have been lots of high-profile source code leaks in the past, most notably the leak of the Half-Life 2 engine in 2003. Although the leak was supposedly one of the factors behind a decision to delay the game, at the end of the day, it still sold like mad and there's been no evidence of proprietary technology appearing in other products. As for Hallgate, we'll follow the story as it develops.

J'espère que c'est une erreur et que l'article dit vrai dans le sens que le dévellopement du jeu n'en souffrira pas (financièrement et dans la durée), il a l'air tellement prometteur.
